Description
Mundane animals still exist and are quite commonplace. The common house cat for instance has remain relatively unchanged since the 20th century there are newer variations with some Bobcat crossbreeds (resulting in larger varieties) and most are owned by human settlers. Synthetic versions are cheaper and easier to maintain and have additional features like speech and entertainment packages. Some even come equipped with surveillance equipment per-installed, these "nanny-cats" are incredibly popular with parents as one might suspect.

There was extensive post work to get the face right the eyes nose and lower lip were all retouched to make them look more "realistic". The DOF blur was added as well, and a couple of blemishes where the mesh pinched were also corrected.

Whatever you had to do to create this was well worth it! When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a photograph, it looks that real!! Call me totally blown away!

I imagine that cats will be amongst the first animals to go with humans on long voyages into space. Their adaptability to living in tight qauarters and thier independence in entertaining themselves will make them well suited for long confined voyages... just like they were in days of sailing ships.
