Description
An ancient Mayan calendar that has been accurately keeping time for thousands of years will inexplicably run out of dates some time around the Winter Solstice in 2012. How will the world end?
Here is Scenario #6:
6 Winds a’ Wailing:
The Perfect Storms
Atmospheric catastrophes that were believed to occur just a few times in a century now strike several times a year. Their scale, impact, and duration have become so awesome that they have inspired a whole new genre of language. Nor’easter. Snowmaggedon. Black Roller. Frankenstorm. Snowpocalypse. Haboob. But we won’t get blown away, say the skeptics. They point to the weather systems on Mars, Jupiter, and other orbiters in our solar system as proof that massive storms such as these are actually typical. But maybe that just proves that this doomsday scenario has played out before. Here’s hoping that all the folks in East Coast USA make it through this coming weekend all right.
