Description

By our calender it is the year 2258. Over 200 years have passed since 'The Dying Day', when the nations of the world were struck down with the great plague and mankind teetered on the edge of extinction. Stories of that time have passed into myth and legend, its monuments the rotting and decaying cities and towns long since abandoned to the rats and flies, and the ghosts of six billion dead, the memory of man having slipped into distant memory. In the far northwest of what was once the United States various clans have come into being, not least of which is a matriarchal nation of female warriors that have took inspiration from a time distant past, lost in myth and legend, a time of heroes, a time of gods, a time of Amazons. The queen Eupharia, known as Clearwater, lays dying in the stronghold of Wash'ton, whilst her daughters Aishla and Kirston lead a party of the tribe's finest warriors into the terrain of the Ce'tle mountain clan after a recent slave raid, hoping to free captives taken. Aishla, the youngest and favourite of the clan, has the gift of 'sight', able to view events future (albeit vaguely)and learn from lessons past. A gifted follower of 'sign', she leads the party deeper into the enemy domains. Kirston watches, and waits... First of what I hope to be a series on the Saga of the Amazons. Inspired in part on a comment by Patrick 210 on a past render, about doing multi- character compositions. This is a first attempt, and wasn't as painful to my computer as I thought it would be. I was stuck for inspiration until this, now my head's full of stuff, so thanks Patrick. Hope you like, and thanks for looking - Ian

Awesome character work, and the landscape could stand on its own merit.

Whoa - pic with story - you got there before me! Just remember when I post - I wasn't copying, honest! I like the clothes on these grubby old gals, looks like they've been out in the wilderness for a number of weeks without sight of a stream. Nice one.

A great start. I'd really like to see those decaying monuments (cities) in the backgrounds of some of the images. Nice work!
