Description

Sorry it's a day late in coming Mark, hope your day was a memorable one! ;~) Bishamonten is another name for Tamonten, the Guardian King of the North. Worshiped Independently as the Buddhist god of victory, wealth, and good fortune, Tomonten is then called Bishamonten. Here he is depicted as a warrior stepping on a demon, a symbol of evil. Wearing armor and holding a spear in his right hand, and a stupa in his left. Very cool, thank you Dana. I am a big fan of Asian culture and have statues of all of the seven Household Gods. I just can't figure out how you got such a good picture of me.

LOL @ Mark! It looks exactly like him! :P He had on that same jacket when he visited with us up here two years ago. Okay ... well ... maybe not. :D This is a fabulous image! I love the light, and the statue is phenomenal.
