Description

Could be hype but could be the the historic storm of the century.....Either way I am preparing. Although I am inland North Carolina this triple whammy is expected to bring winds of 60-80 miles per hour here with downed trees (I have a HUGE two hundred year old Oak tree above my house.... eeeeks!!) and extended loss of electricity. This is unusual, interesting, unique and very sad Cynthia. An outstanding capture. Wonderfully written. The lighting is perfect. I do hope you and your home are safe. You have my thoughts and hopes, wishing you the best. Scary image here. Huggs... Silkylady...

Ah Cynthia...you seem to be in the same space as we are here in New Hampshire...they are telling us winds of 50+ and 5-8 inches of rain...so not so bad as if we lived in the coast, but they are still warning us that this storm is going to be bad... The hard thing is, so many times the weather people talk about storms as if it is the end of life as we know it...and we have heard it so many times that we tend to look at is as 'oh, it is just another hype'...BUT then ONE of these storms is liable to take us by surprise, so my hubby and I try to go with the better safe than sorry thinking rather than be caught unprepared. We have a generator so we have that ready to go and plenty of fuel for it...and plenty of food, etc to weather the storm. May you and yours come through the storm unscathed!!!

This is a very interesting storm..... calling it the Perfect Storm...reminds me of the movie George Clooney made The Perfect Storm only his wasn't a hurricane.......suppose to get all way into parts of Ky........Is snowing in Bowling Green Ky now............and we rarely get snow..if it comes up from Tenn down to us we have had it.....we get our bad storms through Tenn..................plus its a full moon to boot........they are saying it very rarely ever happens a storm like this........ Airport in Louisville Ky has cancelled lots of flights......I bet lots of disgruntled people there........kids crying..........fighting.....I would hit the bar get a long island tea and get loopy and I don't even drink...but to put up with all that I would have to do that or take my Xanax one......maybe both LOL....just glad it's them and not me.......... Great image from your window Hope you stay safe........and are prepared just in case Hugs Susan~
