Clever & creative manipulation. Never heard that proverb, but of course this made me think of the famous quote attributed to Jesus, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven"...

So far everyone has flattered you, but, no one has given you any positive feedback. 1. The shadow under the cat is not dark enough. it does not match the needle's shadow. 2. The shadow under the cat is too crisp; the edges should be a little softer to match the needles. (Notice the end of the needle shadow.) 3. The shadow at the tip of the needle is not needed as there is no corresponding shadow from the cat. 4. The shiny needle would also reflect the cat's fur to a small degree. Keep in mind I have critiqued your technique. It is your IDEA that is wonderful! I know for a fact that Artists are loath to critique a fellow Artist's work even when the fellow Artist benefits from the critique! It has been my motive to give you something positive. If I was in Holland now, I would give you a big SLEEPYBEAR hug!

I love the concept! Since sleepybear has already made some points, I might add that the shadow of the cat is incorrectly shaped and the vertical needle shadow in the lower right corner is not possible, however I think few will notice!

I do not see anything negative, just an amusing and very appealing image designed to bring a smile to the viewer; there again I am not qualified to give Artistic interpretation. I just say if I like what I see. Juliette - you are the best.
