Description

Now that you can have M5 and V5 in poser, I think it's time to start transitioning my creations over. What do yoyu guys think? Let me know.

Please do! I love your second skins created for your characters. I would love to recommend creating just the second skins for more versatility.

I have both the M5 and V5 Pro bundles and a bunch of other Genesis products and I have not touched Genesis in Months. Genesis can use all Generation 4 Textures except for the M4 Gens so I don't know. For it to do well I think you would have to do something special with the morphs, A bi gender texture. I sent you a site mail a few days ago, don't know if you have had a chance to read it.

Nope, Daz is running scared now. With the upcoming release of Reality 3. In a deperate attempt to hold on to this genesis thing, they made this crap DSON plug-in, most everyone I've spoken to has trouble with it. They are also giving away all their software programs and plugins right now, the same programs and plugins that so many have paid allot of money for. Daz was too cocky thinking they could take on Poser. I've had trouble with Poser, but at least I have learned what to do to get in going again. I have too much invested, in V4 to switch to another platform, or fight with poorly designed hybrid plugins/importers. The only way I'll likely use V5,M5 or any of the Genesis stuff, is if Daz redesigns the products to work as native content in poser. BTW, No offense, But your V5 looks like she has a huge growth or tumor on her right hip/pelvis.

Looks good. I wonder what you are planning on doing, if anything, with the DAZ/DSON thing. DAZ' entry with the DS Studio has always left me in a kinda of "Eh?" thing. I mean, yeah, they are the ones who gave us the figures (V2, V3, V4, etc) for Poser, but then they had to go and try to imitate Poser with DS Studio. Good idea..for those who couldn't afford Poser in the first place, but bad idea when you actually alienate your target audience and decide to do your own thing. That being said, I love that they took over software such as Carrara, Bryce, etc, but even their support for such is weak at best.

I LOVE Genesis in Poser, can not say one bad thing about it. My Poser behaves very well and the clothes are so cool to fit with the DSON.

I don't do a lot of commenting but here I have to agree with Inspired_Art, BiggDevo, and Sunfirexed, I downloaded that DSCON plugin, and that's where it has been ever since, in my download folder, along with DazStudio 4. whatever? I actually called Daz to inquire about Genesis and the cross over, the Tech, wasn't convicing herself or me that this was a good venture. The V4, M4 massive wardrobe that I have "should fit", I was told. The hand spun custom characters that I have maticulously created "can't be spun" in Genesis (different parameter dials) the facial expression packages for V4/M4 "can't be used" with Genesis, and I'm thinking $129.oo for a bundle of what? No thank you.You have to build upon what is, not change everything. That's my 2 cents, for what it's worth. Oh yeah, and V5 should really get that tumor checked out.

Thanks guys. I'll take that all into Ccount. As for the "tumor on her leg, that's the result of using a v4 pose.

I'm sticking with V4 for now. I just got back to using poser after a two year break and I don't have the money or patience to take on another character change. I think by reading the above information I'm making a pretty wise choice.

No Uugrade for me, too though I got the tools. Never worked with them, I am sticking with the V4-Models.

I am interested in how Genesis works in Poser and therefore interested in any renders such as this. However I am still waiting to see something that would tempt me to go through the extra steps to get Genesis in Poser. At present I haven't seen anything I can't do with my present runtime. Like many others I did download DS4 but it would not install and I really could not be bothered to try and make it work. Deleted it as a waste of Hard Drive space, at least for me. Still very interested where you go with this though.

If only DSON in poser supported autofit like Daz does with Genesis. I'm personally still split between both tools. Genesis is very nice especially backwards compatibility for v4 and M4 gear, shame they didnt nail that in the DSON importer.
