Description
Dalek from the 1965 AARU Productions Dr Who film with Peter Cushing.
The Dalek is a free model by SamTherapy here at Rosity. He's made quite a number of them and they are very good.
Thanks for looking,
Mike.

I remember seeing this movie as a kid and was amazed by the effects (hey, I was a kid)... I saw it again a few years ago, with the mind of an adult.... and was still amazed by the effects this image amazes me too! so, damn cool!

Thanks 1358, I too saw the films many years ago and enjoyed them being a Peter Cushing fan. I recently got them in a 2 disc DVD set with the Dalekmania documentry.

E-X-T-E-R-M-I-N-A-T-E E-X-T-E-R-M-I-N-A-T-E... ever the dalek catch phrase!!..sorry couldn't resist!! Nice work Mike... looks great. Don't recall that movie, but can remember the original TV series with William Hartnell!.. takes me back to my childhood... dustbin lids and dunny plungers... which I don't think is too far removed from the originals..

I always wondered if you want to escape the mobile dustbin just, why not run upstairs..? Simple right? THEN! The new series of Dr Who blew that right out of the water by having the Darlek levitate!!!!! Not FAIR!!!! But BRILLIANT, and made it twice as scary really.. lol Great looking, VERY impressive mate! I REALLY am stunned by the detail you've got on this! Well done! Rob

That is a beautifully rendered Dalek there... perfect lighting so it matches the background 100%. Really must try more realistic lighting set-ups myself. Brilliant. Oh, Debbielove... a Dalek was first seen to hover upstairs in 1988's "Remembrance of the Daleks"... looooooong before the new series, lol.

Ah! The mostest Dr Who villain, lots of staying power. I first got acquainted with Dr Who back in the mid seventies when I was 13 yrs old, I've been hooked ever since, & still hooked on the new show. Well done Mike, I'm with Rob on this one, levitation not fair...

Bloody hell!! you said you were going for photo realism....you got it! in spades mate...fantastic job.As to 'levitation', not a problem once you throw your coat over it's dome....so that's why they're called 'overcoats'!! :-)
