Description

This piece is dedicated to my fellow New Yorkers who are struggling to get their lives back in order. It'll be a long road, but we can pull it off. I had something else to post, but with Sandy hitting my hometown, I had to make this piece. Hopefully it'll make my fellow New Yorkers smile, at lease for a little bit. It did me justice creating it. Thank you all for your comments, and prayers. * Pinky (based on my best friend) is the model here.

hi fellow New Yorker :) do hope you are faring well...i live in forest hills, queens and by some stroke of luck/fortune my immediate area suffered very little damage...power never went down for us...but my heart breaks when i see the devastation in the surrounding areas...i know folks are complaining about the "cold" weather, but all should be grateful that isn't hot--imagine the smell coming from the water if it were hot...take care--things will get better... love your scene--colors and lighting really nice :)

Yes, it will be tough for many for a long tiome... the footage we see down here in NZ is very sobering... the degree of devastation is almost incomprehensible. A lovely tribute you have created Mike.
