On the news today they told us that this 'festival' produces twice as much crime as on any other night.
Thankfully it promises to rain and be windy, so less chance of thugs calling on us demanding money with menaces.
I have put up the Police notice asking for no trick or treat visitors, so we should be trouble free.

We just turn out all the outside lights and trust to our dark street and steep and difficult driveway to keep the kids away. It's worked well for the last several years. Good shot of this holiday item!

We ignore it too. Our place is situated in such a way that we don't get trick-or-treaters. :) We have a nice quiet evening in store!

Love this one, don't think I've ever seen one around our neck of the woods, but for sure will be looking. Gotta find one!! Makes me think of some of the images I've seen celebrating the Mexican Day of the Dead.
