I was walking along Pasteur toward Cathedral Notre-Dame in Ho Chi Minh City when I notice this young woman walking in front of me. Nice posture, long hair, short and tight dress, long legs and a beautiful walk. And then I noticed the other woman, leaning against the wall, wearing a traditional Vietnamese hat, resting her feet, while her over-loaded bicycle was parked against the curb (partially hidden behind the post). I realized that this pretty much reflects Vietnamese society, the future and the past, the old and the new, and, to a certain extend, the 'have' and the 'have not's.
