Description

Been playing around a lot with Aaron and really like the idea of him in black and white... Or even doing the novels in B and W what do you guys think?

Beautiful B&W image. You've a terrific command of light, your illustrations are equally effective in full color. Let the story dictate your choice between the two.

This is a great job of what is really black and white, and not gray scale. There is a great contrast here and that's what makes this particular image sing. I would hesistate to make an entire series black and white because to be strong and beautiful like this you need the contrast and that can be a difficult extra design challenge - sometimes limiting. I think Mark gave the best advice when he said let the scene dictate its use.

This looks fantastic Alicia. I like it alot, but I would have to agree with Mark and Roxy on letting the scene dictate the type of image...at least with the movie. Fades from b&w to color can be really eye-catching and effective - or b&w with one or two elements still colored. B&W is always cheaper to publish in the book form, but if you use color at all, you might as well mix and match or just go all color. This is striking though! Well done :)
