Modern sculpture blend into autumn colors; Castle Nijenhuis.
Sculpture “Prolong” by the couple Herringa / van Kalsbeek is blending in a natural way in the autumn coulors from the garden as it is in this part of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere). The where some raindrops and no sunshine at all!!
Castle Nijenhuis is the dependence of the Fundatie museum in Zwolle (Overijssel. The Netherlands); despite the fact that the collection of the museum “De Fundatie” started in the estate Nijenhuis it is nowadays a “dependence”. See my yesterdays posting!!
Especially unique in the estate Nijenhuisis the large collection of sculptures exposed in the garden. In total approximately 75 sculptures at the time we visited the garden, This museum has a work to gether relation with the museum in Scheveningen / the Hague Beelden aan Zee (Sculptures alongside the sea).
For us it was a very special experience, the sculptures where so nice in the autumn dressed estate park, despite the fact that we had a little rain and is was very cold and humid!!
