Description
The idea here is that after a long day in the battle field, she decides to find a place where she can wash away the battle from her body. She finds a shalow pool with a waterfall in the background. Her armor and her bloodied sword lay beside her.
This started out as an exercise in trying to get better at creating the wet skin look and feel. I am not sure if I have come close to achieving it.
Also the hair is dry as she did not go completely in to the water.
Any ideas and feedback would be great.
Credits: Used Mnd Productions Nanette (Deborah Montique and Martin Fornoni) (in MP). She is excellent to work with.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.
Scott.

Personally, I think you have done a damn fine job on the wet skin look! I find myself wanting to hand her a towel to dry off with, fer goodness sake! The only off note is the hair looks a bit too dry, but then, maybe she just hasn't gotten it wet yet? Again, that touch of shadows from the foilage is a masterful touch - but then, you are a master! Fabulous image!

Ooh, lovely-jubbly. Yes indeed, she looks very wet. Her skin, that is. Obviously. Very hard - I mean, difficult - to find anything wrong with this... maybe just the eyes could be a little better. 10/10.

have you thought of trying transparency along with specularity.. it adds a smoothness to it sometimes creating more depth.. anyways great picture i like it alot.. she is absolutely beautifull; and the scene itself deserves a 10. - James

Great scene and well, she looks beautiful.

Nice! Wonderfil mood created in your work. Difficult one about the wet skin though. The only thing I can think is that when you climb out of water certain areas dry instantly on contact with air. Perhaps some kind of texture/bump map that simulates dry areas?

Jolly good image. Beautiful scene.

Oh, you have that wet skin thing down pat!!! This is breathtakingly beautiful. A real child of Nature reveling in the peace and beauty of her private bath. (Except for the 1,000 or so people at Renderosity....) Now I'm going to have to try wet skin again....you have definitely set a new level here. You really are an inspiration, Scott.

The water effect dripping off her is great but I especially like the way the glistening has been achieved and again the details of the foliage throwing shadows on her are just superb and add so much to the realism of this! Great stuff!

This image is all wet. The waterfall looks wet. The young warrioress looks wet. The drops of water dripping off her wet skin look wet and you're all wet for asking if you achieved the 'wet look' - so go soak your head till it's wet too...lol. I knew before I accepted your invitation, (which I've always requested you send me) that I would be in for my much required 'Sking'- fix', and already knew I'd have my senses soaked in wet sweat from excessive perspiration, and my chest 'wet' from drooling profusely - adding yet additional 'wet' to this soaking wet image of wetness! Scott my dear friend - this is your very best image yet - and will forever remain your best until your next posting. This is on my list to purchase as a poster - so consider it a definite sale. I have read every comment above mine, and have easily concluded that Renderosity has it's own private deck of 'cards' - no reference to their contest either. It seems that there are a few wet opinions as to what constitutes a wet look and are as varied as the number of drops on a bather who exits the water. I also see that someone didn't bother to read your descriptive prologue about why her hair isn't wet. Pat yourself on the back my friend - this is one exceptionally wet image and the epitome of inspiration...or should that be perspiration! A simply gorgeous work of art.

OMG! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! If you had ratings for this image, you would get tops marks for this image. Best i have seen in the Bryce gallery to date. Wish i could produce images with such brilliance.
