Description
The friends found their way to the Bonga's & there to greet them were Mr. & Mrs Bonga, Mr. Pumpkin & his cat.
"There he is, I knew I would find him." shouted Zwoggle as he caught sight of Mr. Pumpkin sat on a toadstool with his friend black cat sat in the tree.
Mr. Pumpkin gave a wry smile to his black cat because they, as we know, Zwoggle hadn't really a clue where to find them. Mr. Pumpkin & black cat had known a shortcut to the Bonga's & took it after hiding behind the tree & watching them while the friends rested.
"Clever old you." Zlata said to Zwoggle.
Zwoggle puffed his chest out & felt so proud of himself.
"Welcome to you me dearies, we were so hoping that you would wonder why Mr. Pumpkin had looked through your windows & try to find him. When he came to stay he was so impressed when I told him all about how you had helped rescue the lost puppie & find their owners. That he wanted to do something nice for you, so as it is November 5th we are having a firework party for you." said Mrs Bonga.
Hearing this Meadow grimaced & thanked Mr. & Mrs Bonga & Mr. Pumpkin very much but she was afraid she would, if they didn't mind too much, get off home as she was so frightened by the fireworks. She told them the BANGS were far too LOUD & really scared her.
"Oh dear me dearie, I am so sorry, I didn't think you would be frightened at all as you always seem so brave & laid back. Of cours you must go home," she asked her "If she would be ok or would she like someone to go along with her?"
Poor Zwoggle so hoped they wouldn't ask him as he loved fireworks, he loved Meadow too but he didn't want to miss all the pretty colours.
"No I will be fine thankyou but would you give me a little time to get home so I can get all cosy inside & turn the radio & tv's on?" Meadow replied.
"Will you have some cake & lemonade before you go?" asked Mrs Bonga.
Meadow declined this as she so wanted to get home, she really hated fireworks, she couldn't understand why Nov 5th lasted for at least, if not more than a week. She so worried about all the poor animals, that were left outside & would be frightened by the LOUD BANGS & they didn't understand about a person who in the 15/16 hundreds tried to blow up the houses of Parliament & failed. Why celebrate something that didn't happen???? Anyway she said her goodbyes & went home as quick as she could.
The others all had cake & lemonade, they were sorry Meadow wasn't with them.
They gave her plenty of time to get home & then the fireworks began. There were lots of OOOhhss & AArrrs. Zwoggle was so excited he kept telling them to "Look there, oooh, look over here, thats pretty, oooh that was noisy." He had a wonderful time.
After the party the friends thanked Mr. & Mrs Bonga & Mr. Pumpkin for a lovely time.
Mr. Pumpkin said it was lovely to have seen them again & hoped to see them next year.
The friends set off for home, Zwoggle was still so excited & kept asking Jasmine where Mr. Pumpkin lived for the rest of the year. He so enjoyed himself. Bless him.
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

What a great story and image to celebrate Bonfire night, well done Barbara. Can't say 2 of my puss cats are enjoying Bonfire night here, it is like world war three outside, I have the music on loud the pets are indoors with me, and although the girls (dogs) are ok with all the loud bangs, Amy and Freddie are not amused but Mistapus is accepting it as he sleeps in his bed near the warm radiator. Hope Meadow is ok tonight, hugs and love xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a spectacular image and story Barbara, you really did great. It was so nice of Mr. pumpkin to come up with the celebration for them, but I have to agree with Meadow, as I'm not a huge fan of fireworks myself

Don't you Remember, The Fifth of November, 'Twas Gunpowder Treason Day, I let off my gun, And made'em all run. And Stole all their Bonfire away. The fifth of November, since I can remember, Was Guy Faux, Poke him in the eye, Shove him up the chimney-pot, and there let him die. A stick and a stake, for King George's sake, If you don't give me one, I'll take two, The better for me, and the worse for you, Ricket-a-racket your hedges shall go. Remember remember the fifth of November Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder, treason Should ever be forgot... Excellent
