Greetings To One and All!!
As promised here is the beginning of my Winter Collect Series....
This one is entitled Glacier Ridge.

Hope all are doing okay under the circumstances..
Little ruff this year as not knowing what is going to happen as my wife and others like her here are facing layoff just before Christmas.I really can't understand the mentality of people that base their business decisions on who will be in office after the upcoming election Tuesday.If one candidate gets in over the other is what determines her being laid off or not...
Makes me sick to think how others have the power to decide who works and who does not based on politics...I won't get into it any further...
Though I will continue to try and find comfort creating my art but not being blind to what's happening around me either.
Hang in their folks...I know others here have it rougher then us here but we too are being effected by the economy.One can only tighten the belt another notch and hang on with both hands for the foreseeable future.
Like I tell my wife....I can continue creating art and share for those that find comfort in what I create.

A beautiful Winter scene, Will. This week we're expecting another Nor'Easter with high winds, heavy rain, freezing rain and heavy wet snow, which is conducive tp having power outages. Just what we need, kind of foolish when you think about it. The power is down in thousands of homes and businesses so who cares about losing power? I mean you can't lose what you don't have. Welcome to the Zombie Jamboree. Looks like these storms are going to be an integral part of our season. I think someone opened up a Storm Manufacturing Company. Thank the Powers that Be that we have our art to divert our minds temporally. So far creative pursuits haven't been banned by the Overlords. Keep up your great work, my friend, and I hope things work out OK. Things are tight over on the East Coast as well. As Spock would say, "Live long and prosper".

A very beautiful scene and this would make a great Christmas card as it is. I hope everything calms down in your part of the world after the election and that there are no more layoffs. The whole world seems to be in a financial mess.

I do find comfort in what you create makes me smile too but this time too I find your words sad to what affects people since my back surgeries "MY KIND IS NOT WANTED" what I was told anyway so lets hope humanity comes back what is truly about life that counts warm hugs, Linda

very crappy situation and i dont understand either. i agree that everyone is entitled of making money even big money i dont care,may my neigbours be millionaires i dont give a rats ass and be happy for them(at least they dont bother me then lol if i look at it rationally). but i could not sleep well if i would have to ruin my next of kin just to make sure i can buy a new ferrari.thats bs man.

I'm so behind on comments, forgive me~ Hope you had a fantastic birthday, Will, & here's wishes for many, many more =) This Winter scene is just beautiful, I love how the spectrum of colors washes over the entire landscape, and your fence is superbly crafted, too~ So sorry to hear about your wife having to wait to see who got elected to know whether she was facing lay-offs or not =( that's just horrible & I hope the right one got elected so her job is secure~
