Description
Today is a really good day. It was 69 degrees out with no wind today when I got this shot about 4:30 this evening. Where I live I am at the base of the mountains and am only a five minute drive from being out in the wild. One time I had 9 elk walk within 10 feet of me on their way to get water and they didn’t even notice me and one time I had a very large mountain lion within about a 100 feet of me and he didn’t see me either. Now that one I am really happy about and when I come down to my little rv for work I am 5 minutes drive from sitting on the banks of the mighty Columbia where I get sunsets like this all most every night and in the last 20 years I don’t ever remember not having enough money for a diet pepsi lol, so life is good. Now who knows I may wake up tomorrow feeling pretty blue and end up writing something depressing but today. Today is a really good day.

I concur with what everyone has said here. This is truly a splendid shot! The colors are amazing. The golden sky, slashed with white and feathered with gray. I love the blue sky showing through on the right. The textures and colors of the water are luminous. You are a champion promoter of your area and the Colombia River. This is gorgeous!
