Skadi is the Norse goddess of winter and the hunt.
Winter's coming and I don't know if I want to know what it will bring after Sandy and other things.
This is my 'seasonal girl' Lilana, who (I discovered today) has some very interesting skin. Why it's interesting shall remain a secret for now. She could just as well be the 'Ice Queen'. Brrrrrr!

Wow, absolutely amazing! This is one of those images that I could just look at forever, an image that would neatly hang on one of my walls where I could gaze upon it day after day; never to leave me. Never mind my house is in a warm sandstone phase now but it used to be a cold ice white. I really love the subtle use of the variety of winters colors here. There is just a hint of warmth to remind us of the mirror season. A wonderful elegance of softeness and translusceny to remind us that snow is an ephemeral mineral; it does not last. Lovely brush work on this composition. Masterfully created.
