Hello and Welcome. This is my corner at Renderosity and I have to say, I really love it here. Everyone is so helpful and supportive, it is just amazing to me. There isn't much to say about me, except I love art, I've always done it in one form or another and always will. I want to say thank you to everyone that supports me with comments, I haven't been very active here for awhile, dealing with some elder parent issues combined with a lot of overtime at work, really has made it difficult to keep up. I just wanted everyone to know that I do truly appreciate all the kindness here and will continue to pop in now and then. Thank you so very much.

The lighting is excellent and her pose & expression are perfect for someone who has been at the 'machine' for a long time

Very nice. Yup, lots of hard work there.

I still like the composiion of the original as well. But this is a beautiful improvement. Closer in and the lighting is excellent for color and detail. The hazy lighting of the other works on its own level too. A beautiful re-do.

While this one has greater shadow depth I have to admit I prefer the composition of the first one. Having her gazing outside a window where you can see a bit of the street leaves no doubt she is stuck inside. Also in the former she is looking across a lot more of her inner space, which again forces one to feel for her confinement and is a method often used in occupational genre photography to tie a subject to their environment.

Her gaze seems to show she is half lost in a dream of being someplace else. The lighting is good and gives good contrast and the shadows have a good softness to them. All in all very nicely done.

Excellent!

Fantastic realism!

Wonderful. The expression is congruent with the environment. The angst of lost hopes and dreams. Great lighting and detail.

Very well done, the lighting is spot on but as for the composition I have to agree with brewgirlca, I prefer the first one.

This is excellent, I love her expression, that faraway look is terrific but I prefer the composition of your first one, I think the light in front of her head detracts a little from this one, but the lighting and soft shadows are superb, great job :)

Pardon me for expressing a wee preference, just remember that honest critique is the hallmark of respect. I like the composition of the first one better, but I like the lighting and details added to this one as well. I think you should do another one and combine the best of both of them. Your work is superb on every level.

I agree with adorety, brewgirlca and sigung. I think view from the window at her left was an important element of the layout. But, of course, it's a very subjective opinion.

Great job with this image also!!!!

This has excellent detail & I prefer the color, but I must confess that the first version does give me more of a sense of her emotions & longing!
