I particularly like this image..my wife and I hand raised 3 as pets back in the late 90s. They are so loving and in many ways just like our regular best friends. I made a large glass and tile enclosure for them where we could watch them build their homes. They learned to pick up on us coming home from work and would stand up along the glass with their arms out to be picked up, mouths open chirping to get our attention. Each had their own personality, one female was always running around with hay in her mouth building, a second female that I called Bunny, just loved to cuddle and sit in my lap while I watched TV. Our only male like to play and be picked up all the time and loved having his chin scratched as he laid in my lap on his back...wanted his tummy done too! Certainly raising them from babies and bottle feeding them help, but we were always surprised how loving these small "dog" were.

I can't help but remember a line Kevin Bacon said in Tremors when I see these cute little creatures...I won't repeat it here though. A wonderfully peaceful picture!
