Description

Thank you for your kind words and faves about my previous "impression". Here's another work from the series of my latest night shots taken with my compact Lumix camera and put through Corel Painter. A couple of decades ago, Detski Mir (Children's World) was a huge store selling a variety of goods for children only. Now they sell almost everything, and it's half empty.

What fun it must be to play with the computer. It is quite a beautiful realisation.

A very painterly effect ... it's as if the buildings take on a dreamy sort of a feel, like seeing everything, by looking through windblown curtains, so mysterious. top marks Nikolay, BB

Excellent postwork. I also really like the colors. The elongated strokes make me think of a rainy night - especially with the reflection of the rear vehicle being visible on the road.

I've never tried Corel Painter, but if this is the sort of thing you can accomplish with it, I've obviously been missing out! This is marvellous. Halfway between photography and paint, ans somehow smudged and perfectly sharp at the same time. Outstanding result!

WOW! This is amazing. I love the feel that this has and the colors are superb. It's strange seeing a night-time urban shot in colors other than pressurized and electrified sodium-vapor orange. I rather like it and I love the overall composition and the way this veers deliciously into the realm of painting. The smudges are absolutely wonderful and wonderfully translucent as you can see clearly through them to the underlying structure. Brilliant! Another favorite.
