Description

Hello to my Friends/Neighbors/Fellow Artists! (and those just visiting for the 1st time) Here's # 3 in the Winter Scene Series entitled Copper Ridge Railways for your viewing pleasure. I really wanted to take this time and say to those that think my cards are Hallmark worthy that you really make a guy like me very humbled to hear comments such as that. I've thought about it for years to create my own line of cards and have been saving my nickles and dimes in hopes of affording my own card stock printer(the industrial kind) not the every day printer most of us own but one that is designed for creating greeting cards up to poster size printouts. It's one of those things that is on my wish/bucket list and my goal is owning one by my 55th Birthday which is 5 years from now. I've checked into places online that allow you to enter your cards but after reading the fine print and doing my homework I came to the conclusion that no 2nd or 3rd party is going to have access to my creative designs or in other words I created it and I'm not going to allow someone else to make money off me so if I can afford this printer I'll create/promote/advertise/produce and sell my own as a small business and someday when you go to a future online.com store of my own creation or an actual store maybe you'll see some of mine who knows. One can dream like everyone else right?...(smiles) So anyways Thank You All for your continued support of what I love doing... ~Will~ Created in Bryce Pro 7 Post Work in Photoshop Elements 8 Various basic Bryce tree's Birds are vector and placed using Photoshop Train is by yours truly and "curve track" is from someone you all might know by the name of Alain or a.k.a. 3D Classic's!

This is picturesque, man, and further proof that you should keep saving for that printer! Just make sure I get a "mates" discount when I buy my gear from you! LOL! (Hey, if you don't ask then you don't get, right??)

I had some friends that had a print shop next to my store in town. When they went out of business they parted out & sold all their equipment cheap. Try calling some print shops. They may have recently upgraded their equip. & want to get rid of the older ones. They may also know of other shops that just want to sell off some since the economy has caused them to downgrade. Its worth a try. They may even be talked into parting with some older Text sets. All the shops have excess. Good luck & let me know what you turn up. Cool card! ")

Hi Will, This is a very creative and magnificent image...it looks like the type of image to be mounted and framed and hung above the fireplace in a mountain cabin or resort! As for doing your cards, do it. Don't let anyone tell you what you should or shouldn't do, especially as an artist...I never have, and I never will do as someone suggested to me a few times in my younger life, and I have so many memories and stories of my life, that if I had listened to anyone of them, I wouldn't have what I have today! Get that printer and anything else you need and when the exact time comes and you're prepared.....success will be yours, in one form or another! Keep on Arting in the Free World! J.Michael

You go Will! Angel's advice sounds like a good possibility to check out. Your cards are every bit as nice or nicer than the ones in the stores. You should do it and I wish you luck with your dream! This is a wonderful card :)
