My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Classily neo-classic! Superb!

Looks like a nice OLD building Tara. I think we may been there on one of our trips to the city.

Well, I like symmetry alot, that is why I have made alot of postcards with symmetry. Not that I use them, LOL but I like to create them. :) I find this shot very beautiful. Also the soft effect.

Greetings from Prague: icerian and Anmes. Beautiful building!

I'm an unconditional fan of symmetry. Not sure if the result would have turned out the way i imagine it could, but on this picture i would have applied a lens correction, vertical perspective.

Nicely done! I liked the one with the pole too. Symmetry is very good for the soul...

Very cool shot I love symmetry at times - other times chaos

A wonderful picture of this neo-classical beauty. It was completed in 1897 and is now the Chicago Cultural Center.

Excellent picture.

Excellent...

I don't believe anyone covld make this more symmetrical! It is sqvare, and balanced on every side. The only difference I was able to spot was in the position of the street lamps, and I wovld conclvde that error was dve to favlty electrical installation! Yov done good!
beachzz
this is as about as symmetrical as it gets--what a wonderful building!!

Yeah, it's darn annoying when those lamp posts jump in front of the camera that way..... :-P A lovely shot of this building, Tara!

I could stay here a whole life :)))

We really should do something about those lamp posts wandering into people's shots. They've gotten worse this autumn. I think they're breeding or something because there seem to be more of them, but only when you're pointing your camera at something. And you know what? I hadn't realized that this place is as symmetrical as it is. Of course, I was usually too busy moving dental equipment into the building that was directly behind you as you took this shot. A cute security guard, named Amit, from Bosnia works in that building, and well...what would Chicago be without cute Bosnian guys in suits? Anyway, I love this shot and the symmetry is amazing. Very neo-classical, or in the 21st Century, Post-neo-post Classical, or whatever they're calling it these days. This is brilliant and full zoom is a must. There's a chandelier in the middle window, and I can't tell if it's native to that building or the one behind you-the-photographer, but it's quite a compelling mystery to marvel at. This is super.
