Description

Florida Banded Watersnake is my best guess. There are so many snakes in South Florida. Average length is 24 to 42 inches (61 to 106 cm). The record is 62.5 inches (158 cm). They are found in nearly all freshwater habitats, preferring the shallow waters of swamps, marshes, ponds, lakes, streams, and rivers. They eat frogs, mice and small birds. Nonpoisonous. Found in the Green Cay wetland area. Zoom for better details. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

An excellent shot of this snake and I am so glad he isn't poisonous, makes me like him so much more. Their skin patterns all seem different and very pretty but maybe that is because I never see snakes.
