Now this is one fascinating capture Mickey, and I'm so glad you decided to share it with us. I had no idea how they protected the vineyards from frost, and after seeing this am very impressed. It's hard to imagine the time they have to devote to setting this all up. Really great idea you had to add the cool winter and frost like effects that appear to be swarming all around. Another thing that caught my eye is the beautiful surroundings of this area. For those of us who don't live near a vineyard this was very informative.

Here Mickey... Netting is excellent for preventing birds from damaging grapes. Covering the grapes with netting by early veraison,(the stage in the ripening process) when grapes begin to soften and add color and flavor..... There....you have a reason why....My grandfather grew grapes and made table wine with it for home use only....well a few bottles did find their way to a few of our neighbors back then during the Holidays though....(smiles)... Before zooming it looked like snow drifts and when I zoomed is when seeing it was netting...Pays to zoom every now and again....lol...Wonderful presentation as always Mickey!

Frost is ice wine. Delicious. The winegrowers in our area always leave it hanging some grapes. But great shot!!!
