I'm usually the kind to keep quiet about this sort of thing. Bear it in silence.
But I think this is so very important, I must reach out & beg you to keep a watch on your health. Never ignore what you feel may be 'off'.
I've known this could, & probably would, happen, but it floored me with the swiftness of the onset of this latest damage.
I don't write this for sympathy, but for your awareness.
Be aware, I've had Lupus for well over 20 years & dealt fairly well until this latest cycle.
The doc said the meds will probably slow the inevitable, but there has been a lot of damage done by the Lupus & its been out of control. There is fluid in the lining of my heart & its enlarged. It hurts 24/7 now. Liver damage, joint, & tissue damage, too. So everything hurts. Its spread arthritis to my entire body. My vision is fading, also my hearing. Well, except for the constant loud ringing in my ears. Lesions on my skin that are scaring over. Though not very bad right now.
My feet, toes & hands are cramping alot. A bit of dizzy now and then. Migrains aren't as bad with the meds. Doc said she would try to keep me as comfortable as possible, but not to expect too much. I'm already a walking medicine cabinet.
So far my kidneys are doing OK. They don't see any fluid in the brain. Its funny. Sometimes it messes with my nervous system & I talk gibberish. Lol. I can hear myself, but can't stop it. At least it makes me laugh & it passes quickly. I can still get around pretty well, but I also have fibromyalgia so its pain when that hits, too. So far my mind is pretty clear & steady.
I could still have some remission, but the damage has been done.
Please, if you ever expect anything is wrong, get to the docs right away. Never pass it off!

I hope you can keep your good spirit, Angel. I also hope meds can give you some comfort. Autoimmune diseases are very difficult to deal with, so I hope you get all the help you need around you. Hugs. Odile

I am devastated to hear, to see such situations where the disease still gaining ground on it ..... And as much as people think have my Beatiful . There are no words to break this mountainwho want to rush into one piece as. Prayers and requests to all in need of healing ... Thanks again for your great heart for all of us ((5 + +))

Well this came as a right hook....followed by an upper cut this morning...I realize after reading and sitting here in disbelief I have just no right thing to say to you at this time ..I'm very saddened to hear all the things that are currently going on with your health and I guess I haven't been listening very well as a friend should in these circumstances and I apologize....I can only hope for better things to happen for you but that is an empty statement to offer as knowing what your say'n is wrong could go in 2 different directions...I will pray for you Angel even though I'm not into much religion and as a friend I hope things in time ease and your life has more ups than downs....Wishing you all the best in your journey that's ahead of you...Wish I had a magic wand so as I could make all that is wrong disappear....(smiles)..

I'm so sorry to hear that things have gotten so bad, I knew you were in a bad way but I naively thought that, with time, they would fix you up again with the right medicine and treatment. You must be so strong to be going through all this and still make such beautiful artwork.

I am so sorry to hear you have Lupus and are so ill, Angel. I had a cousin with Lupus and it is a devistating disease. I will say prayers for you that the worst passes.

I did not know anything about your illness and so I started to google. How awful. Our medicine is already soo far, but come every day other diseases more. I am sad to read what you have a destiny. If I knew relief for you, I would bring you. I can only send you positive thoughts and hope to pain free days. Thanks for the info. I'll be careful of myself, my family and friends. A wonderful pic!!

It's a crappy situation that you're in Angel but I believe Dragons are pretty much indestructible. ( being hit by lightning twice proves this!!) I sure hope things improve for you and the pain eases. Wish I had more positive things to say but I'm in a bit of a dark place myself as my Dad died suddenly last weekend. Still, chin up as we Brits say. :) Will have to post something humorous to make you smile :)

You are amazing and my heart goes out to you. I have Fibromyalgia and arthritis plus some other things, and so I know what that is like and have some of the symptoms you describe, but for you to have Lupus on top of all what Fibro brings I feel for you, I really do and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Oh man, Angel, I knew you had some health issues .. but not what. I am so blown away reading this. I don't even know what to say. You know you will be in all my prayers, one of which is praying for a remission for you. Sometimes it takes a wake up call for us to listen to what our bodies are telling us. Thank you. Gonna be a lot more watchful and aware .. just like the lady in your beautiful work.

Fabulous image but so sorry to hear how the Lupus is affecting you and thanks for sharing the warning about our health and that we should have regular check ups. I pray all goes well with you in the days weeks years ahead..
