Description
Clitocybe nebularis.
Widespread and very common and in the top 100 most likely to be seen in Britain, in deciduous and coniferous woodland.

I knew these looked familiar. Diane triggered the thought, helmet crabs. The subdues light, rich colors and clarity really make for a marvelous image with a somewhat mysterious feel.

very nice macro ,we don,t have this one in north america but we have something very close to it [lepista nuda]wich used to be part of the clitocibe family, its common name is blewits,amethys agaric, great acurate image
