And to just say I was "NOT" expecting (of all days) a holiday (that some observe) to have witnessed such a disheartening comment on a very special friend and artist here about her art(Corrie...aka Peedy).Yes I agree we all(well more than not)have "checked" the "allow critiques good or bad" but a line has to be drawn in the sand at some point.I for one after reading had that very taste you described Jim and was "NOT" going to sit idle and even though I may have been harsh in my response I am an artist/critique but most of all a friend and thought that somethings can be handled in private(site mail)if the art your viewing makes you respond as such but more importantly why leave such a disheartening/rood comment in the 1st place is what set me off.....You'll be happy to know I did bite my lip and restrained myself (the gentleman I am) and held back most of what I really wanted to say in Corrie's defense even though I know Corrie probably could hold her own as it showed in her rebuttal she had left in her defense...( A real classy Lady IMO)...So just for the record.... I'm a "Knight"....Not officially as the Queen has yet to honor me that title officially)...lol... but am always looking out for a Damsel in distress and the other day I felt my services were justified... Your absolutely correct Jim...Only takes one rotten egg to screw up the egg salad.... I "won't" hesitate in the future to jump to the aid of any fellow artist if the situation was to arise again. "We" are a family here and that's what "friends" do ... ~Smiles~

I had to go back and look again, I know there wasn't anything untoward when I commented. I see what you are talking about, I had the exact type of thing happen to me when I first started doing MojoWorld. One particular accomplished member of the MoJo Genre(as this guy seems to be very accomplished in TG) ragged on my getting so many comments and praise for such crap output. Ya'll know me, I'm not a nice person like Corrie and I blistered his Sitemail, told him he could say what he wants about my work but leave my friends out of it. We both almost ended up getting Banned from Rendo because the fued moved in to the MoJo Forum and people started taking sides, it was a mess. Here's the thing, I don't know this guy but his TG appears rather accomplished and he hasn't posted anything for like 5 years until recently. It probably just chaps his ass that someone using the Free TG version can get so many comments of praise for their work. What he doesn't understand is the fact that Corrie's friends know how improved each and every TG image she produces is from the last. Plus the fact that she does not just use TG but Bryce, MB3D and several other Fractal apps.....What does her Critic use other than TG....appearently Just His Mouth Peace BTW Super MB work Jim

Outstanding work on this highly detailed image Jim. Sorry to hear about your friend receiving the vicious comment. In my opinion that sort of behavior should be rewarded with permanent expulsion.

I went back to that image and was appalled by Torteg's comment to Corrie. But then I read Corrie's response and the others who follwed after and my faith in humanity was restored now to your image Jim: makes me think of the Wicker man and what was done in the past..... outstanding fractal work

lol @ knight wolverine.i was on corries and i saw the first comment.it was a bit inappropriate i agree.afterwards corrie and torteg arranged themselves if i am not mistaken,i added peedy to my favs for the future and i also was looking at tortegs works not too bad either .lol. lets be nice to each other babes.

Wouldn't want to enter the Wickerland. Looks scary and dangerous in there. Wonderful dark and cloudy skies. Awesome mysterious forms,colors and details. Love and Hugs. It is so nice to see the aid and support given to Corrie. She is a wonderful artist and member of the art family. Times like this is when we truly realize how important we are to each other and the tight bond of frienship we have. Cudos--Jim,Will and Len.

totally appalled here by the criticism jim, i too had to go back and read the comments, i guess i commented before all the s*t started, i agree with you, Will, Lenord and just about everybody else! we are family here, at least the ones i know are,and i'm glad Corrie is a strong minded-woman, i went to the site of this critic, his work is pretty good but, he only dabbles in one medium, too bad so sad!:( now about your image here, it's truly another awesome render, very wicker-looking indeed, excellent image render! great b/g as well!:)5

Like your image Jim. I think that is awful re the bad comments, If people cannot say something constructive in a nice way, they shouldn't bother.

Fantastic work! I'm always sad to hear when a person attacks another harshly! But it's also nice to see how many friends we have here on Renderosity... it's truly a great family! :)

What great wicker work you have done here I bet it took ages to make.. a lovely fractal. I too had to go back and see that comment as I had missed that posting from Corrie. He certainly wont be getting any of my time spent on his work. That is not the way a family works in my books.
