Description

The BERLIN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS is one of the largest and best-known illumination festivals and public events in the world. It takes place each year in October, where for 12 consecutive nights, Berlins world famous landmarks, cultural monuments, historical buildings, streets and other locations become transformed through light, projections and events. Extraordinary illuminations, light projections and light objects are presented by many local and international lighting artists. Working with light is still an emerging form of artistic and cultural expression, and the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS offers a unique platform for visual artists. This is a shot of the Brandenburger Tor, 3D-Videomapping, my first serious attempt at night photography after many many failures in the past, its a matter of hit and miss as there are so many factors involved (iso, shutter speed ect) as you probably know. ZOOOOOOOOOOM for full illumination. Have a nice day.

Great firework capture! I've yet to try these seriously.. Next year is my first attempt .... weather allowing! Word of advise, I found myself mate.. If you copy and paste from other pages, always take off and replace brackets, speech brackets etc as you get the above happening otherwise.. For some reason, Rendo does not like it! Rob

I took pictures of our fireworks last July 4. You are right, it isn't that easy. This image is a great success. Very well done.

Very tough to do; excellent result, though if I'm allowed a minor crit the building could use a little selective noise reduction? Beautiful image.
