Description
Volume I - Episode 120
Where: Melbourne, Australia
When: 30 days after E-Day, 5:26 pm
I almost swerved off the road when I saw the four-wheel-drive. It pulled alongside me for a little while, then gunned the engine and sped ahead. I slowed down to give it some space.
At that very moment, a police car pulled out of a side street ahead of me. A police car! I hadn't seen a single moving vehicle in weeks, and now I was surrounded by them!
The police car spotted the speeding 4WD and turned to flee. Despite all of the crazy things I'd seen since the the world ended, a fleeing police car is just something you never expect to see.
For some reason, it scared the absolute hell out of me.
The 4WD bore down on the police car and gave it a tap on the rear end. The police car spun out of control and came to a stop against a wooden fence. The 4WD hemmed it in.
It was more action than I'd seen in months. Hell, it was more action than I'd ever seen in my life.
And it was more than I could handle. I did a hasty U-turn and headed the other way. I'd have to find another way home. Rushbury Road was back just a short way, I knew. Once I got there, I could hang a left and go past Rushbury Gardens to get to the freeway.
The last thing I saw in my rear-vision mirror as I left the scene behind me was the door of the 4WD being thrown open. A young man dressed in black climbed out. He drew a pistol, fired a few warning shots over the police car's roof, then aimed the gun square at the driver.
I didn't stick around to find out what happened next.

Wise man! It's never too late to revert - at least not for Michael. Excellent render, besides (guess there are rendered elements in this picture).

The 4WD and police car are rendered. The background (road) and foreground (car interior) are two separate photos composited together.
