Description

Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. These 2 shots are of the same butterfly. I was amazed how different they look when they open their wings. They sit with their wings closed when they are eating, but if you are patient eventually they open them and reveal a beautiful blue color. These were seen in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. The temperature this morning is -23C, so sitting and looking at our Carribean holiday is a nice escape until I have to leave for work and face reality again. :) Have a great week. Jim

Such a beautiful butterfly you've captured, Jim. Amazing how great the pattern is on the outside of it's wings. I love the outside because of that even more then that from the front. Brrrr, so cold there by you, it's good you captured a lot of sun in The Caribbean then.

How pretty this butterfly looks when he opens his wings. These are lovely captures. Gosh it is cold at your place today. It beats me how you manage to get your car started in that temperature.
