Description

Unlike a U-Boat, an E-Boat could not dive out of harms way and though they were fast, they weren't THAT fast....Having survived his rocket assisted launch, my HurriCat finds a victim, probably waiting for dusk to make his attack...someone should have warned them 'It's a jungle out there, and the 'Cats' are on the prowl. Couldn't bare to sink U-99 again! and certainly wasn't shooting holes in MY U-Boat. DeEspona's excellent E-Boat takes a beating this time (never seem to see this around here much :-(? Ships wake is a Bryce terrain I knocked up, fire and smoke and 'splashes' added in PS7.

Really nice, Neil! Very satisfying composition and the pyrotechnics are terrific. Nice wake too. If I could make a suggestion that might improve the wake a slight bit...when in PS, clone out the shadow of the wake from just before the stern of the boat out to the end of the rear wake. That will make the rear and rear side wakes seem a bit flatter than the bow wake as they start to disperse. Other than that...one pretty damn fine render!

I have to agree with Bill, this is a damn fine render Neil. Wake looks great with some good advice and I love the bullet sploshes which is often overlooked in air on sea attacks. Not seen that E-Boat before but I did buy a DeEspona model once and it proved very difficult to work with but maybe they are better now. Very cool image :) 10/10++++ for you too!

Some Bryce terrains can be exported. Have you tried doing so? These would make excellent props for the community. Hint, Hint. On to the picture: Can only echo the comments above. This is an especially fine render. For me, the wake and the ammo splashes are what makes it. There is also a hazy effect, although slight, that I really like.

Very nice picture. The fire on the boat and the splashes looks fine.

No matter how fast you are, there's always something that's a tad faster then you believe yourself to be. That Schnellboot skipper just blew it.... Man. nicely done Neil.
