I believe that an image should conduct a dialogue with the viewer. The more words necessary to explain the image, the weaker the messsage.
I make no claim to artistic skill. I'm like a kid with a box of crayons; but I lack the purity.
Considering the agenda of either wing to be folly, I represent what was once the center, BEFORE certain media bloviators claimed the mainstream for themselves.
Of our OWN universe, we are always the center.

This makes perfect sense. That's why it will never happen.

Wait! You're expecting a politician to make an intelligent decision?

I stand enlightened by two of the "Best and Brightest" on the web.

It is clear that you put a lot of thought into this post. Your solution is sound and so common sense that any reasonable person should embrace it. I commend you for your lovely image and message, and could not agree more. Now THIS is dialog not the usual "attack AD" implying that all republicans are evil or stupid. I would like to mend fences and engage in reasonable dialog with you. This olive branch is offered in public because I criticized you in public, only fair. The highest rating possible, 5+ Have a great day!!

Gladly! It's not Republicans that I truly have a problem with. I've spoken to many who, like yourself embrace what I think are reasonable positions. It's the Republican Party. But I stand undaunted to hear any fact-based ideas, whether in accord or opposition. Besides, I think Ike was one of the best Presidents EVER.

No more jobs. Those over age 60 know how to do the work, the young do not, but Chinese yes do it.

there is 1 minor problem with your argument. you left out the part where our social security taxes would have to go up to cover the new retirees as that system right now is on an equal revenue flow, i.e. as much as comes in goes out
intro
Social security is 100% solvent as it is until 2037. By then most of the people you're worried about will no longer be part of the equation. Besides those on social security will STILL pay income taxes. PLUS the increased taxable earnings of those who have taken their place will more than offset any potential shortfall BEFORE those younger earners are ready to retire. Bear in mind that within five or so years the "baby boomer" problem "Maxxes out". At that point we are STILL at or only slightly past "even flow". After that the ratio starts to swing back towards the fund's favor. If we were only to remove the salary cap on Social Security, NONE of this would matter anyway.
