Description

This elaborate decoration above a door in mala Strana is worth a zoom. There is an inscription but I can't read it..perhaps someone can decipher it. There's a faded painting and perhaps there's some symbolism in the wolf ? carrying a token of peace. On my last stay in Prague I looked for details to capture..and there are so many possibilities!! Thanks for taking a look.

Good POV in this one. I would say that a considerable amount of effort went into this olde sculptured creation.

What a wonder! I miss Prague. I really must return! As for what the overt symbolism here is...I have no idea, though from the looks of it, I'd only venture to guess that it's an address, but I can't tell if the blue wolf is the address or the angelic person...or maybe both. I do however marvel at the idea that the old Czechs used their own version of the "@" symbol for internet addresses: apparently we're looking at something known as "At the Blue Wolf with a thing in his mouth" or something like that. It's incredibly gorgeous.
