Description

This is the result of the wonderful painting day I had in my painter friends big awesome workshop Saturday. I had a painting of Cezanne "The great Pine Tree" in front of me as source. So this is my own version of it. :) Have a beautiful week. Still biting cold and frosty here and it is still white outside. Thank you for your always welcome viewing, commenting and fav to my previous post. :-)

Beautiful, Helle! The trees seem to be doing a slow, melodic dance especially the main one. I love the shading of the leaves, the warm brown of the tree trunks, and the splash of orange. Wonderful shadows and light. I like the little tuft of grass in the bottom right corner. I see nature dancing and drinking in the sun in this image. It's gorgeous!

This is quite nice! I can easily see this in a museum or modern gallery, probably in the same part of the museum where Cezanne has some stuff, also. I like the feeling this has and it's very bold and passionate. I like the way this reminds me of working with clay, even though it's paint on a canvas. It looks like you had all of these different shapes (and colors) and you pulled the trees out of them, like when a person is "pulling" clay and making something very surprising. The reddish orange tones are so bold and this whole painting has such a nice, alive feeling to it. This is super.
