Description
I was on early morning walking duties today, I waited for it to get light enough to hope Mr. Foxy Loxy had gone to bed & off I set in my new wellies. There was a bit of black ice about & I nearly ended up on my bum tid, as I wasn't used to the new wellies. I decided to take the girls into the donkey field as I wanted them to have a charge about but didn't want to worry in case Foxy was about. They were charging about, I stood at the gate we had gone through, correction I stood at the fence I had just climbed over :o) They were being so good, going off, coming back, until they charged off to the other end of the field & Meadow took JB under the fence (its at the top left in pic) & off into the park. I blew the whistle but of course they couldn't possibly hear it, could they!!! I set of at as quick a pace as my new wellies would let me. I envisioned them miles away, chasing goodness knows what, boy I was so mad. I climbed over the fence, decided to ring my son Christopher & ask him to come & help me find them when all of a sudden Jasmine comes galloping back, tongue nearly on the floor, followed by at a slower pace, with a few stops on the way Miss Meadow. As they had come back & I hadn't actually caught hold of them I had to be very sweet & nice & not shout at them. I gave them a treat & let them have a minute then put them on their leads & we walked home. Not a great start to the day :o)

Great shot of these girls doing what they do best. :) I knew they would come back to you. They know when they have it good. They just like to show you every once in a while they could take off if they wanted to. :) Its their way of keeping you in line and knowing who is actually in charge. :)

I bet you were so relieved to get them back. I see so many people whose dogs have run off scold them when the finally get them back not realising the message that's giving them :(

Oh poor you, I can imagine how horrified you must have felt to see the girls disappear intent on following their noses. Good job they came back ok, and do be careful in those new wellies, don't want you falling and hurting yourself. hugs and love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
