Description
Captured 12/1/12, along one of the routes I take during my early morning constitutional.
A series of mild spinoffs from the gigantic rainstorms that hit Northern California left a mass of fallen leaves down here in usually drought ridden Southern California. With Andrea's recent postings in mind, I took over thirty shots of this kind of tree deposit along my walk. Sorry, no fungi or lichen to go with this, and I don't know what type of tree these belong to.
See ya, and have a nice day.

Interesting capture, a vast variation of colors ,patterns and textures developing among these leaves. It appears you captured some tiny worms also, but difficult to know for sure. Fungi not evident yet, but I'm Sure is growing there. :-)

A lovely autumn leaf collection that would make a great background picture. An excellent capture.

They look lovely, Harry, with lots of shades of browns and yellows. Probably Maple family of some sort.

Sometimes we don't stop long enough to see the beauty in this world. well done.

They look maple to me (I think of the logo of the Canadian hockey team, the Maple Leafs, which is badly misspelled but that's how they do it!) Anyway, a fascinating mix of dead leaves spread out for your viewing pleasure, Harry. Nicely captured! And I really love those serrated edges!

Nice close up, at least Andrea doesn't have to pick them up. :)
