Description
Welcome to the Ole Place At North Falls. This was basically an experiment with using photo textures on terrains. I personally am not real happy with the results but perhaps with a bunch more experimenting it might work,lol. all of the work was done in Bryce 7 pro. and as always I thank you all for taking time to check out my work.

I like everything, but maybe a more realistic sky would bring it all together. the water and wake behind the boat is a really nice touch.

Very finely detailed and well thought out.The texturing looks very good. As blbarrett said, a more realistic sky is probably the only thing lacking here. Definitely needs a full-size view.

Knowing what you said about being an experiment It's still got the 3 things I look for in this type of art.. 1)Substance 2)Depiction 3)Balance Even though it's an experiment and your not presently happy about it that I can only imagine that after you spend sometime tinkering here you'll come back with this and you'll have found your happy place...(smiles).. I too would like to say I think the wake behind the boat was a nice touch!

Good friend, perfection only in 3D in nature, or maybe with the masters of scifi movies, but even so, if you take a good look will uncover many flaws. Your scene is well done, especially in the wake of the boat. The bridge and the buildings are well made. The texture on the mountain is not bad, maybe I should work harder in texture editor Bryce and try to make something more realistic, but as I said, do not chase perfection. Congratulations on your image, and just because you have tried, the result was pleasing. As I always say, my pictures to my delight is in the first place, only then worry about my friends.
