Description

Hello to all! Thanks so much for taking the time to view my work. And an extra thanks to those who take the time to comment or favorite my work. I deeply appreciate any and all support. I should have posted this some time ago. I originally intended this as a promo image for my Temple Wear 01 set (the altar and clothes are from that set), but I got way too caught up in the scene. Then I posted the full scene version to my deviantART account (http://kobaltkween.deviantart.com/#/d5kym56), and just forgot to post it here. I replaced all the materials on all the items. The main scene is DAZ3D's Hall of Lore-Naz. The modeling is very nice and impressive, but next time I should just make a scene like this myself. The textures and mapping were just problematic at this resolution and zoom. It's a PC item, and _very_ professionally made, so I don't find that a major flaw. It just made it clear to me what I need consider about as I make my own props. The texture on the figure is by Rebelmommy, but the morph is my own dialing of various morphs, including Rebelmommy's Dioni. I never use characters as their presets, so I rarely think about it. But I've seen enough people mention it, so I figure I should make it clear that the characters I list aren't the same as what I show when I post. Even that Antonia character in Falling Free was part custom morph. So if you like the textures on my characters, you might check out the characters in their respective stores to see what they _really_ look like. The hair under the painting- which I had a lot of fun with- is Fabiana's Divine Hair III. It's a very nice set. I believe I'll be posting more images soon. I'll be wrapping up a new set and submitting it to the marketplace tomorrow. It's another dynamic clothing set that I intended to be a quickie before putting out the studio set, which just has so many pieces and options that finishing it off and publishing it means a lot of steps. Instead, it became a kind of major set. Mainly because of all of the texture and material options. Modeling was a snap, and converting to dynamic was only a bit harder. The result being _lots_ of images to post from both this upcoming set _and_ what I've done with the studio. Actually, my promo images all use the studio now. It's a really useful scene. That's part of why it's so big: I keep making things for it and doing things with it so I can make my own images. I'm finding it _incredibly_ useful. I have sometimes wondered about your characters, because they certainly look different from the defaults--I should have realized you re-morph them! I love the textures here--they work well together and they benefit from being the right scale and bump for where they are. The light here is perfect for suggesting firelight without having to show it, too; and I love your hair painting!

Nice render. You're character customisations and posing is very good I think :-) To me, she looks like she's summoning her manservant... Either that or telling the guards to throw a couple more virginal maidens on the fire. He he :-)

The centrepiece of your beautiful image is what I'm ever-so keen to see: your Studio-Set. To be able to control your environment is and remains the most significant challenge from a lighting perspective, which really is what a scene ... IS. It's light falling on a figure and a set. Which, in this image, is clear and dramatic without being too much so: the highlights are clearly defined, the focus draws naturally to the direction the figure is pointing. Intriguing? The wall behind Gothic window. I can't make out what material that is. In any case: a beautiful scene, something is happening and you've just happened upon the event. Well done, KobaltKween!
