Description

Eileen and Rosie at the nursing home today. Eileen was 100 in 2010, and engaged in many lively and lucid discussions about politics in the lead up to our General Election that year. You should have heard her opinion about some of our leaders! She has become much frailer and is now mainly in bed, but still has great pleasure in visitors. She doesn't appear to have dementia. Eileen used to love Hetty and so Rosie is welcome as she is a similar size. She is very deaf, but has managed not to lose her hearing aids, like some of the others!

What's that line about raging against the dieing of the light. Good for Elaine, she sounds like a terrific lady. I see Rosie has fit in perfectly like her brothers.

Great sight. There was a big ole dog in the nursing home where my Mom lived. It wandered from room to room visiting the residents. They loved it and it got lots of treats. :-)

Good heavens, if she's 100, can I be that far behind? Most sobering. Otherwise, stellar POV and general photographic effects in this neat capture, A.

This makes me very sad i have seen where the children just stick them in a home and visit once a year and they never understood why.Great shot of them together.

Beautiful moment captured. Lovely image. Eileen and Rosie look like they are getting on famously. How the world has changed since she was born. I finished reading a book on the flu epidemic of 1918 recently. She would have been 8. I wonder if she remembers it.

What an amazing photo! Touching! Nicely fun as well...you can see that they're having fun and that's the most important thing! Life's what you make it, and animals always help you to make it into something fantastic!
