A scene right out of the movie: "The Third Man" - it's a 1949 British film noir, with Orson Welles, interesting and absolutely spooky ... haunting image, BB

I don't know how I missed this, but the wonder of galleries here is that you can discover new things in the same ways that one might discover historical facts: they're right there, just waiting for the eye and the mind to wander. I've wandered, and what's so amazing is that I can look at this and feel something atavistic. You've captured a moment and a place and both that moment and place are linked by a mood and what's really amazing about it is that the mood changes both. I've been revisiting the fictional world of Agara (probably because I'm about to listen to a story that wants to be told) and this image takes me there. I love the things that remain unseen in this image. It doesn't so much show itself to you as it whispers. I love it when something visual does that. The darkness, though ominous in very real ways, is also intimate and inviting. Something fragile and furtive seems to be happening just out of view.
