Very sorry to read of this Mike. I know these birds and they make wonderful pets and I am sure you were the best daddy possible for JD - the fact that he had 25 years shows that he was well loved and cared for. So sorry for your loss, Mike. Pets always seem to have a special place in our hearts. Reminds me of an old Twilight Zone story where a man has died and is headed up a road towards heaven with his dog. At one point he meets a kindly gentleman who tells him he has arrived at heaven but won't let the dog in. The dog growls at him and the dead man decides to keep going. When he finally reaches heaven St. Peter tells him that the other man was the devil. The devil can't stand animals because they see right through him. Many, many, many years from now, when you find yourself on a road, let JD be your guide.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawe! That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAD Mike! I am so sorry to hear of this! My African Grey died in 2009 and I still miss her terribly! We shared a close bond for a number of years. I feel your sorrow. Looks like JD had a fairly long life for a cockatiel. Must have died of old age?

25 Years??? I think ya had him for a good long time... the dogs I've had are too old to walk, or see at 13... could he talk? I think if I would of visited you and could say stuff to him, I'd like to get him to say: "Don't Step In That" lol... I like to say that to somebody I'm walking with and they're not watching their feet - lol, you would be surprised at how many people almost fall on their face trying not to step on something that is not there
