Description

Java Wildfire Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. This image is especially dedicated to anyone out there that feels alone at this time of year. The season is wonderful for most of us, but we can never forget it also can magnify the hurt for many of us that may have lost a loved one or find them self alone for any reason. I know for 17 years when I was in the military I spent several years where I was deployed in foreign countries over the holidays. There was buddies there with me but that is not the same as having family to share it with. Jim

Well spoken thoughts here Jim and no...Nothing means more(at least to me)is having family to share the Holidays or anytime for that matter with but do understand that not all have that option.Thank You for reminding those that may have needed a reminder and an even Bigger Thank You for your service in the military. It is a wonderful image and poignant thoughts. Both my parents are gone, daughter is on the other side of the country so there are holes in my life at this time of year. BUT I still have my adored/adoring hubby, friends (here and in real life) and four dogs who love me. It's up to me to see to it that this bittersweet holiday season has more sweetness than bitterness. Thank you for this.

Wonderful image to go with the well thought out message. Unfortunately Christmas seems to trigger this emotion more stronger than any other time of the year. "God Bless" to all the selfless people that reach out to those on the outside of their inner circle to help ease the pain of someone they don't know at this time of year, just as you have done Jim. Thanks for sharing. Love and Hugs.

Well said Jim...too many thoughts running through my head at your words man. A diatribe on Religion, I could write a Thesis on feeling Alone. I don't really care for Christmas, it's come to represent somethin it wasn't intended to but it can be if you only....take a minute and Care...care about someone or something other than yourself and what affects you. The next Homeless person you run across, don't look the other way, Buy them a Burger, buy them a pair of shoes, better yet give them a Sleeping Bag so they can be warm at night....that's Christmas Peace
