I'm ReBorne, sometimes known as Mike.I've been hanging around here for around 10 years, but under this name since 2002. I started doing photography (which I've been doing since I was 16 - back in the dark days when you had to use film and learn the expensive way), and have been playing with computers since 1982.
My first computer graphic work was designing graphics for games in binary on an old Sinclair Spectrum (sold as the Timex in the States I believe), then moved on with various home computers until I bought a PC XT - 1991 I think that was! Obviously computers couldn't produce the images in my head back then so I started sketching and doing miniature watercolour landscapes while having the occasional dabble in paint.
When I found myself in the Photography forum here I found lots of new influences and, having just bought a digital camera, started combining them to produce surreal images. When a friend introduced me to Bryce and Poser I started playing a little there, but my learning curve wasn't as fast as my patience so it kind of fizzled out.
Then I was introduced to the technique I use now, and the results are what you see in the gallery. I was diagnosed as a depressive in '01, and until recently it's always seemed that my best works happened along when I was at my lowest, working more from instinct than anything. Over the last couple of months I've been analysing my pictures and trying to get a semblance of the original structures and expand more to create works when I want to, not when my mood fits.
I want to say a big thanks to everyone who has played a part in my development, favourited me or even just admired my work. I think the best is yet to come......
Thank you.Mike

Insomnia is a great inspiration sometimes - when it's not just a pain in the backside. Great job!

I really like this!

I like your Avatar, and this image, the colour tones you have chosen really suit the image and mood. As for not been able to sleep, yup know that one. But GrandmaT is right, sometimes the inspiration for an outstanding work of art.

I really like the color and textures, the pose makes this really interesting, it's like a Tai Chi pose or perhaps devotional? Really nice either way.
