Description

Continuing on the Elephant Hill Trail, I spotted this rock formation which I thought bore a remarkable resemblance to a very tall, layered hamburger in a bun...

Postwork a few salad leaves and cheese in there and it would be perfect. Well seen.

Wow, it really does look like a burger. Can't figure out what all it has for toppings, but it's way more than I can eat, that's for certain! Fantastic find and capture!

I like a good burger rock. I've been re-reading Ursula K. LeGuin's Always Coming Home as it's similar to an extended ramble my own creativity has taken, and as a result of that book and this image, I'm tempted to sing a "heya" in honor of...well...the burger rock. This is a brilliant photograph. I love the POV. Geology is stunning in so many ways and you do justice to it here.

The resemblance to a hamburger is undeniable! It's like the ones with a thin bonus bun in the middle. (I don't do hamburgers, so I'm not sure who makes it. Two patties and three buns.) That is just astonishing! Terrific capture of a meal fit for a giant!
