I love the chin markings. The whole image is superb, but there's something atavistic (for me, at least) about people with markings on their faces, especially if the're not permanent. I think it's because it makes me think of the Inu of Japan, they're the native tribal culture there, and beards are important. Women go so far as to tattoo beards onto their chins. As a portrait from THIS culture, it's equally fascinating and the woman here has such a resolute expression on her face. Super!
