The term that most people have troubles with is evil. It exists and ask any cop on the street about it. When you talk to it, it becomes apparant that the lights are on in the house but there is no human present!

As a European, I struggle to understand the 'right to bear arms'. There are two components to any crime - motive & opportunity. How does someone in this state get access to weapons? It beggars belief. My prayers go out to the families of the victims. Awful, simply awful.

well, richard, until this country's politicians get out of the monied pockets of the NRA, this type of senseless and horrific event will continue in the US...no sane reason for these automatic assault rifles/pistols and high capacity magazines in the public sphere. furthermore, it is my opinion, the second amendment does not guarantee the private ownership of guns other than for the formation of a militia..."A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." that the court decided that this means people have the right to bear arms for any reason whatsoever is due to political pressure...unfortunately, the court has members who are also the tools of the NRA...there are a couple members of the high court who should be impeached.

Good graphical expression of this incident, Richard. A very difficult and complex debate. My thoughts go to the parents who lost their kids, and to the kids that lost their parents. I think the problem is... Society... and the tendencies in society. If people get into trouble in their lives... They are almost on their own..noone cares or do anything.. Untill it is too late. The fact that we as the human race no longer talk about, us. But about, me. Most humans of today care about themselves, not about society. As long as things are nice in their own little garden...they are happy. They do not give a BEEEEP if the world burns down to the ground... And that is what the world does... it burns. My thoughts anyway.

Yes, and some of them are called Dictators, Leaders, or Governments.

Think that title refers to a scary large proportion of the US population. People revert to guns when they fail to be able to have a mature discussion of differences...
