Description

Yesterday the news we saw about the shootings at a school in Connecticut... Was a great tragedy. My heart and prayers go out to all involved. I cannot think of how to say all that is in my head about this terrible page that has been added to our history. We send our children to school and expect them to be safe. It is hard to believe someone would shoot children. Happenings like this and others that have happened lately, make us not feel safe anywhere.

I agree with you totally Cheryl and I was very moved by your words. I've been greatly concerned about the direction our culture has been heading for sometime now and fear we are slipping into the abyss. As you pointed out no one is safe, not even our children. Sadly this is where you end up when a culture loses respect for human life and promotes violence in it's films and music.

I have to agree with you Cheryl. I cannot understand how ANYONE could kill anybody, especially children. My heart goes out to the families. xxx

Won't be over this for some time to come...Thoughts are with those that were effected....Never going to understand what makes people do the things they do in life when it's so bad that they have to take a life let alone 26 others....I just can't except this as being the normal and things need to be done now to prevent this from happening ever again but as i said this won't be the last time we here of something so tragic unfortunately I'm afraid.......

Tender and touching words. Angels do come to help in tragic times like this. I think collectively we know that (1) either we are by far the most insane nation in the civilized world or (2) we need to step up and admit we are far to permissive with the all sacred 2nd Amendment. I do not believe right needs to be scraped to change its meaning and dynamic. I do know it is way past time to make the changes needed. Some say this isn't the time to talk about it but I am going to go out on a limb here and say "when the hell is the right time?" God Bless all in this country that suffer this needless insanity with others or God forbid for their lost loved ones.

A stunning collage, my Friend. We are all at a loss for words, difficult to wrap our head around such a tragedy, and what must have been going through someone's mind to do something like this. It is true, you'd think that schools are a safe place, and its unimaginable where we have to go or hide, for that matter in order to feel some security these days. Such a scary place, it's becoming. Thank you for this wonderful tribute that speaks to the heart.

like one of the fathers of a surviving victim said, he thought Newtown was the safest place in America, so sad none of us are safe anymore, anywhere or anytime! Great 2d art!:(*5

~ I'm speachless and so sad..... Trauerkerze.gif The 'gun nuts' have such a 'strong lobby' that anyone that dares to call for gun control gets instantly shut down!

Its a sad world where mere babies die and those who need help are turned away. Our world is going crazy. Here, even home is no longer safe with home invasions even in the best neighborhoods. It's a sad state of affairs. you've expressed it well, and the image is wonderful.
