Description

I just thought I'd post a little bit of silliness today. Hopefully, it will bring somebody a smile - if it does for even one person, then it was worth the effort. I know there's a few folks out there that need a little cheering up; with all the sad events going on in the world, the stresses associated with the holiday season, and the incessant blather about the end of the world this Friday, it's no wonder some of us feel depressed. I hope this little green guy provides a giggle or two. :-) This little ceramic alligator was once attached to a coffee mug that I got in Florida when I was there in 2010. The hot coffee must been too much for him, because one day he just fell off! LOL! I picked him up the other day from the shelf he was laying on and leaned him up against this purple insulator. I got kind of a silly giggle out of the way he looked, and took a photo. A few of you out there know I collect glass insulators - and this purple one is sitting among some others on a shelf. Purple insulators are rather rare, and can be a bit pricey - fortunately for me this one wasn't. But at any rate I suppose it's a good idea having somebody to guard your purple insulator. LOL I've got a lot of projects in the pipeline; of course the Girls From T.N.A. will be continuing, and right now I'm working on a short two-page mini adventure with the girls and and a few other friends. I've also got a few things that I want to do with some of the wonderful free gifts that some of our talented vendors have been providing for the holiday. And last but certainly not least, a huge, huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those born in December! I hope you all have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful holiday season! Thank you so much for dropping by, and for any comments you wish to leave - I do appreciate them all! Now, to attempt - once again - to get caught up on commenting! :-)

Thank you for the light-hearted touch, Rod. It is much needed. He looks like a fine guardian for your rare purple insulator. I forget why some do turn purple rather than greenish or greenish-blue, but I know they are rare. That's a nice collection. :) A fun image!

i used to collect them in hoards when i was young and crazy, we went up on the polls, used nails to use as steps to climb up and get them. i had one that looked like a saddle. and had about 7 different styles. love that gator and cool glass Rod. Happy Holidays.. thanks for the trip down memory lane my friend.

And NOW you know why he left the coffee mug. Purple insulators are so much cooler! Well, they are you know. I've only ever seen the green and the clear insulators, a couple of brown ones. Kinda the color of watered down root beer. Purple rocks and I love the happy, hugging gator. This is definitely a giggle inducing shot.

He's adorable, and appears to be doing a great job guarding this beautiful insulator! I love that color. Big smiles over here! :D I think you should put him where he can watch the screen while you work on the TNA story. He might see a few distant relatives, and feel like he's part of the show! :)

As I try and find a balance between what is on my table of priorities this week I will visit your galleries all this week with this "Prerecorded Comment" I apologize but want to be both here with my friends and fellow artist as well as all that I have on my plate here at home.So from now until Christmas this is the only way I can do both fairly and equally.Hope you can understand and afterwards will be back with comments directed especially for "YOU" and the art you have created and decided to share once Christmas has passed.. May your Christmas be Merry and Peace On Earth and Good Will To All! Merry Christmas And Seasons Greetings from Me and My Family to You and Yours! ~Will~

Rod, ole'buddy, I think your story is not silly at all. The little alligator is wonderful. From Florida, huh? we got lots of them around here. I was almost attacked once at a golf course in Miami, lol. He came out of nowhere - the pond actually - hissing and fussing : Your picture is delightful with wonderful reflections and colors. Thank you for posting this, I am sure folks need a innocent distraction just about now. Thanks, buddy!
