My father-in-law wanted to put a diesel engine in his ford pickup. So he found an old diesel engine that looked like it was in the same condition as this engine, but there was water setting on top of the pistons. He bought it for scrap and fixed it up so it would run. Then he put it in his truck and it worked. He kept getting pulled over by the California Highway Patrol since it smoked too much. Gone are the days when you could do that yourself!
